The purpose of the study: to investigate the attitudes of Lithuanian population about the most important political, social and economic issues during the rapid transformation of society and state. Major investigated questions: respondents were asked to assess the current economic situation in Lithuania and what respondents think will be the economic situation in Lithuania after 12 months. Also, the respondents assessed their current economic situation (their family) and the material situation of the respondents (their family) after 12 months respectively. The question was posed whether they are well informed about the European Community and whether they are for or against the unification of Western Europe. Opinions were asked on how respondents assess Lithuania's accession to the European Community, whether it would be beneficial for Lithuania to belong to the European Community and how they would react if they found out tomorrow that the European Community had disintegrated. It was also asked whether they would support the Republic of Lithuania in the near future becoming a part of the European Community and how this organization should deal with migrants wishing to leave their countries for economic reasons and wishing to find political asylum. It was further asked what the Lithuanian residents who participated in the survey thought about the protection of the environment in Lithuania and the fight against the pollution. Further they expressed their opinion on the various Lithuanian environmental problems. It was asked which party or movement candidate would vote for if elections to the Lithuanian Parliament were held. At the end of the survey, the respondents answered what kind of army Lithuania would need and assessed how the activities of the Lithuanian Government correspond to the interests of the people. Socio-demographic characteristics: gender, age, education, nationality, place of residence, Citizenship of the Republic of Lithuania, average monthly income of respondent.
