Major investigated questions: respondents were asked how they evaluate the December 1989 survey on the resolution of the XX Congress of the LCP - the establishment of an independent LCP - and whether a different decision of the Congress would have been acceptable to Lithuania. The aim was to find out whether the respondent was in favour of a roll-call vote in which each delegate to the Congress voting on LCP independence signed the one for which the LCP voted. It was asked whether the XX Congress of the LCP had the right to decide on the independence of the LCP and whether anyone was prevented from expressing their opinion during the Congress which was broadcast on radio and television. It was further asked what the relations of the independent LCP should be with the CPSU and with the independent LCP within the CPSU ("platformers"). Respondents evaluated the secretary of the Central Committee of the LCP and an independent party within the LCP of the LCP, as well as the domestic policy of M. Gorbachev. It was asked whether Moscow could impose economic sanctions on Lithuania (e.g., stopping oil and gas supplies at current prices). Further, the activities of various Lithuanian political forces and movements were assessed, and respondents were asked to answer for which party or movement they would vote in the next elections to the Supreme Council Lithuanian SSR. At the end of the survey, respondents were asked whether the idea of a united front in Lithuania is justified if members of different parties and movements work together for the good of Lithuania and whether Lithuania needs a president.
