Demography MS Excel, 2019 The language of the data sources is Russian (rus) and Latvian (lat). The names of Latvian cities and towns in Lithuanian are used by the compilers of table according to online database <a href=" http://pasaulio-vardai.vlkk.lt" target="_blank">”World Place Names”</a> published by the Science and Encyclopaedia Publishing Centre and the State Commission of the Lithuanian Language, except for Abrene (Pytalovo, Jaunlatgale), Griva, Livani, Birži, Mazsalaca, Riga Jurmala, Sloka, Subate and Varaklani towns.
