Data collection began during the preparation of the bachelor’s thesis \"Crowdfunding Opportunities for Book Publishing\" at Mykolas Romeris University in the 2024–2025 academic year. The initial logic for classifying publishers applied in the Bachelor’s thesis was subsequently expanded, and, in the deposited version of the data, the classification was further validated by assigning EVRK/NACE economic activity codes linked from government open data registers. Legal-entity records were linked using the national legal-entity code, adding main economic activity codes (EVRK Rev. 2) and other register-derived attributes.
