\nMajor investigated questions: it was questioned how satisfied respondents are with their current life and if the things respondents do in their lives are worthwhile. Respondents were asked if they felt happy and if they felt anxious yesterday. Respondents were asked to describe the quality of life in Lithuania compared to the average of the European Union countries; current situation compared to 12 months ago and to indicate their expectations for the next 12 months. It was analysed if the life of those who are children today will be easier, more difficult or about the same as the life of those from respondents generation. Respondents were asked if most people can be trusted, or that they can’t be too careful in dealing with people and if most people would try to take advantage of others if they got the chance, or would they try to be fair. It was questioned if most of the time people try to be helpful or that they are mostly looking out for themselves. It was analysed how much respondents trust in the Seimas, the legal system, the police, the press, political parties and politicians. It was questioned how satisfied respondents are with the kind of society they live in. Further, respondents were asked how satisfied they are with the present state of the economy, work of Lithuania's government and with the way democracy works in Lithuania.\n

respondent's trade union membership, religion, participation in religious rites, political views, political and social activism, voting in the last Seimas elections, nationality, household size, respondent's average and total average monthly household income, marital status, place of residence, satisfaction with quality of life, change in living conditions, received social benefits, received Multistage. First stage - the territory of the Republic of Lithuania divided into 10 administrative units (counties) based on Nomenclature of Territorial Units as used in the official EU statistics. Each county is represented in the sample proportionally to its population size.

Second stage - the total number of interviews in each survey region (county) allocated to 5 strata in proportion to the population of each stratum. The stratum is defined on the basis of a settlement size. \n

Third stage - number of PSU’s (“PSU” - clusters) allocated by size of settlement depending on the share of population living in a certain type of settlement. PSU’s selected randomly form each stratum (county and settlement size combination cell) list. In total 125 for this survey. Selection to identify household – addresses register; respondent – last birthday.

\nPagrindiniai nagrinėti klausimai: respondentų klausta, kiek jie yra patenkinti savo dabartiniu gyvenimu bei ar prasminga yra tai, ką jie veikia gyvenime. Prašyta atsakyti, ar vakar jautėsi laimingi bei susirūpinę. Respondentai apibūdino gyvenimo kokybę Lietuvoje, lyginant su ES šalių vidurkiu; dabartinę būklę, lyginant su gyvenimo kokybe Lietuvoje prieš 12 mėn. bei įvardijo savo lūkesčius ateinantiems 12 mėn. Toliau klausta nuomonės, ar apskritai gyvenimas tų žmonių, kurie šiuo metu yra vaikai, bus lengvesnis, sunkesnis ar panašus kaip respondentų kartos žmonių gyvenimas. Klausta, ar apskritai dauguma žmonių galima pasitikėti, ar su žmonėmis reikia būti labai atsargiam bei ar dauguma žmonių, progai pasitaikius, stengtųsi pasinaudoti kitais žmonėmis, ar stengtųsi būti sąžiningi. Teirautasi, ar žmonės dažniausiai stengiasi padėti kitiems, ar rūpinasi tik savimi. Tirtas respondentų pasitikėjimas Seimu, teisine sistema, policija, spauda politinėmis partijomis bei politikais. Norėta sužinoti, kiek respondentai yra patenkinti ta visuomene, kurioje jie gyvena. Toliau teirautasi, kiek respondentai yra patenkinti dabartine Lietuvos ekonomine situacija, Lietuvos Vyriausybės darbu bei tuo, kaip demokratija veikia Lietuvoje.\n

Daugiapakopė. Pirmasis etapas – pagal oficialioje ES statistikoje naudojamą teritorinių vienetų nomenklatūrą, Lietuvos Respublikos teritorija suskirstyta į 10 administracinių vienetų (apskričių). Kiekviena apskritis imtyje proporcingai atstovaujama pagal jos gyventojų skaičių.

Antrasis etapas – bendras interviu skaičius kiekviename tiriamame regione (apskrityje) paskirstytas 5 sluoksniams, proporcingiems kiekvieno sluoksnio gyventojų skaičiui. Sluoksnis apibrėžiamas pagal gyvenvietės dydį. \n

Trečiasis etapas – atsižvelgiant į tam tikro tipo gyvenvietėse gyvenančių gyventojų dalį, pagal gyvenvietės dydį paskirstyti pirminės atrankos vienetai (vadinamieji „PSU“ arba lizdai). Atrinkti PSU atsitiktine tvarka suformuoja kiekvieno sluoksnio (apskričių ir gyvenviečių dydžio derinio elementų) sąrašą. Iš viso šiame tyrime jų buvo 125. Atrankos būdas namų ūkiui nustatyti – atsitiktinio maršruto procedūra, o respondentui – vyresnis nei 18 metų bei paskutinio gimtadienio taisyklė.

Iškilus abejonėms dėl nurodyto adreso pakeitimo, respondento atrinkimo procedūros pažeidimo bei deramo apklausos atlikimo regioniniai supervizoriai tikrino visus interviuotojo darbo aspektus.
Lauko tyrimo supervizoriai vizualiai patikrino visus užpildytus klausimynus ir kontaktų lapus, kad įsitikintų, jog jie užpildyti vadovaujantis visomis instrukcijomis bei nuorodomis.
