<p>This dataset contains the New Union (Social Liberals) (NS(SL)) statutes.</p> <p>The New Union (Social Liberals) (NS(SL)) was a Lithuanian political party that has been active from 1998 to 2011.</p> <p> This party has been established on April 25, 1998. On November 25, 2006, the Lithuanian Justice Party joined the (NS(SL)), and on September 26, 2009 – the Lithuanian People's Union "For a Just Lithuania" and the Lithuanian Life Logic Party. On July 9, 2011, the (NS(SL)) merged with the <a href="https://hdl.handle.net/21.12137/JHFDDY" target="_blank">Labour Party</a> (DP).

Grammatical and other errors in scanned text digitized using Optical Character Recognition (OCR) were checked using the chatbot "Claude Opus 4.7".

<ul> <li>Plain text data were extracted from scanned versions of statutes using Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software <i>ABBYY FineReader</i>.</li> <li>Grammatical errors and errors in the numbering of articles found in the original texts were corrected in the textual data.</li> <li>Textual data were segmented into sentences using the chatbot <i>Claude Opus 4.7</i>.</li> <li>The textual data were translated into English (eng) employing <i>Google Translate API</i> accessed via the <i>polyglotr</i> package of the <i>R</i> software environment for statistical computing and graphics.</li> </ul>

To ensure that such attributions are captured by social science bibliographic utilities, citations must appear in the footnotes or in the reference section of publications. <hr> Publikacijose, parengtose LiDA saugomų duomenų išteklių pagrindu, turi būti nuoroda į LiDA išnašose ar literatūros sąraše į naudojamus išteklius. Šiuo reikalavimu siekiama, kad nuoroda į LiDA patektų į socialinių mokslų citavimo indeksus.
