Lithuanian's citizens tolerance towards socially or economically excluded, ethnical, religious and sexual minorities, to identify manifestation of discrimination occurrence.
&lt;br>&lt;b>&lt;i>Major investigated questions&lt;/i>&lt;/b>: Respondents were asked to express their opinion about the Black; Muslims; the Jewish; Roma community; migrants; refugees and homeless; to evaluate problem-free behaviour of representatives of certain groups: persons of different races; religion; sexual orientation. Reluctance to live in neighbourhood with former convicts; alcohol abusers; people of other nationality or race; large families; Muslims; immigrants; HIV-infected persons; drug abusers; homosexuals; the Jewish; Roma community; the unemployed was researched and opinion regarding tolerance towards people of other nationalities, races and religions in Lithuania and provision of shelter to economic refugees, equal employment opportunities, equal social guarantees, equal opportunities to foster cultural traditions in Lithuania was tested.
Respondents were also asked about facts of discrimination (on the ground of race, nationality, religious beliefs, physical disability, mental disability, age, gender, sexual orientation, political convictions) during the recent two years. As well respondents expressed opinion concerning reluctance of an employer to employ a person on the ground of race, nationality, belief, disability, gender (man/women) and age (young/old); opinion about the tolerance of citizens of Lithuania, Poland, Latvia, Russia, Belarus, Western Europe, the United States and other Eastern and Western European countries regarding race, ethnic, religious and other social groups. Respondents evaluated the work of the various organisations (Seimas, Government, Presidency, political parties, law enforcement institutions, media, non-governmental, international organisations) in preventing racism and xenophobia and necessity of the national programme against racism, xenophobia and intolerance in Lithuania.

&lt;b>&lt;i>Socio-demographic characteristics&lt;/i>&lt;/b>: gender, age, education, occupation, nationality, number of family members, total average monthly income of family members, monthly income per family member, place of residence, region.&lt;br>
&lt;br>&lt;i>The survey data were collected at the request of the Commission for the Implementation of the National Action Plan for the Promotion and Protection of Human Rights in the Republic of Lithuania under the Human Rights Committee of the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania.&lt;/i></description><description descriptionType="TechnicalInfo">SPSS, 29</description><description descriptionType="SeriesInformation">The series "Survey Data > Human Rights" contains survey data that allow to study Lithuanian public opinion about the state of the human rights protection system, the ways in which people defend their rights when violated, and their evaluations of the effectiveness of institutions protecting human rights.</description><description descriptionType="Other">&lt;p>
