Major investigated questions: respondents were asked to indicate the cause of the distrust in courts. They were also asked whether they personally or their family members have attended court hearings and if they have in what status they have attended. Respondents indicated the main factors influencing the opinions about the courts. Respondents were asked how the media describes the practice of the courts. They were also asked whether the punishments for the crimes committed are adequate. Respondents also had to evaluate the independence of judges. They were asked whether the cases in courts are delayed and to indicate the reasons of these delays. Respondents were also asked whether the courts in Lithuania are corrupt; and whether they trust in different the judiciary institutions. Socio-demographic characteristics: gender, age, education, occupation, nationality, monthly family income per one family member, place of residence.SPSS, 29The series "Survey Data > Human Rights" contains survey data that allow to study Lithuanian public opinion about the state of the human rights protection system, the ways in which people defend their rights when violated, and their evaluations of the effectiveness of institutions protecting human rights. The main language of the study is Lithuanian (lit). Standardized questionnaire was provided for the respondents in Lithuanian (lit).
