rightsURI="info:eu-repo/semantics/closedAccess"/><rights/></rightsList><descriptions><description descriptionType="Abstract">&lt;b>&lt;i>The purpose of the study&lt;/i>&lt;/b>: to investigate Lithuania's citizens attitudes towards disabled people and assess the situation of the disabled in Lithuania.
&lt;br>&lt;b>&lt;i>Major investigated questions&lt;/i>&lt;/b>: Respondents were asked if they have disabled people among family members, friends, colleagues and what type of theirs disability is: movement, vision, hearing, mental disability, etc. 
Also probed were respondents' feelings when communicating with a disabled person: reluctance to communicate - communication is the same as with any other person. 
Respondents evaluated the conditions of disabled (the blind/partially-sighted; the deaf; people with movement disability; persons with mental disorders) by specific spheres: job; studies; leisure time; culture / sports; public transport; political life. 
Respondents were also asked to approve or disapprove the statement that people with mental disability have to be more isolated; obligatory treatment shall be applied more extensively. 
As well respondents evaluated the situation related to the rights of the disabled in Lithuania and expressed their attitudes towards the protection of rights of the disabled in the society during the recent 10 years. 
Respondents assessed work of various institutions (state institutions; business; media; non-governmental organisations; international organisations) in improving situation of the disabled in Lithuania. 
Opinion concerning the spheres of allocation more funds from the state budget to the disabled (treatment/medical care; social allowances, pensions, exemptions, training; creation of new jobs, business initiatives and improvement of living conditions) was tested. 
Main sources of information on the situation of the disabled (personal experience; friends; TV; radio; national press; regional press) were identified.

&lt;b>&lt;i>Socio-demographic characteristics&lt;/i>&lt;/b>: gender, age, education, occupation, marital status, nationality, total family income per month, number of family members, monthly income per family member, place of residence.&lt;br>
&lt;br>&lt;i>The survey data were collected at the request of the Commission for the Implementation of the National Action Plan for the Promotion and Protection of Human Rights in the Republic of Lithuania under the Human Rights Committee of the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania.&lt;/i></description><description descriptionType="TechnicalInfo">SPSS, 29</description><description descriptionType="SeriesInformation">The series "Survey Data > Human Rights" contains survey data that allow to study Lithuanian public opinion about the state of the human rights protection system, the ways in which people defend their rights when violated, and their evaluations of the effectiveness of institutions protecting human rights.</description><description descriptionType="Other">&lt;p>
