Major investigated questions: respondents were asked to indicate which functions of the Seimas are performed best and worst. The study sought to find out which form of governance and which Seimas election system respondents support more. It was examined whether respondents would support the financing of political parties from the state budget. Respondents were asked why they voted for the particular party they chose. Based on a list of different characteristics provided, respondents were asked to describe Lithuanian politicians. The survey examined what respondents expect most from politicians newly elected to the Seimas in the 2008 elections. Questions were also asked as to whether, during the past 12 months, respondents had appealed to the specified state or municipal institutions and for what reasons. Respondents were asked to indicate which measures would be the most effective in strengthening public trust in the activities of members of the Seimas.
