Lithuania's citizens' attitudes towards European Union and their opinion on the membership of Lithuania in the EU.
&lt;br>&lt;b>&lt;i>Major investigated questions&lt;/i>&lt;/b>: respondents were asked do they support the membership of Lithuania in the EU and point out main reasons for this support (improvement of private well-being; increase of security of Lithuania; reduction of Russian influence; European Union financially supports less developed countries, other).
Respondents assessed the sufficiency / insufficiency of information on Lithuania's admission to the European Union; pointed out what information related to the EU membership of Lithuania is the most interesting to respondents (EU institutions; business opportunities in the EU market; employment opportunities in EU countries, consumer rights protection, other). 
Respondents also gave judgement on the changes that take place in Lithuania after joining the European Union in May, 2004: expectations of positive changes and fears of concrete negative changes. 
Also probed were respondents' attitudes towards the readiness of Lithuania for EU membership; discussions on topics of oncoming membership with one's people, relatives, friends.

&lt;b>&lt;i>Socio-demographic characteristics&lt;/i>&lt;/b>: gender, age, education, occupation, nationality, number of family members, monthly income per family member, place of residence, region.</description><description descriptionType="TechnicalInfo">SPSS, 29</description><description descriptionType="SeriesInformation">The series &lt;b>"Survey Data > Lithuania and the European Union"&lt;/b> contains survey data that allow to study Lithuanian public opinion towards the EU, their opinions on membership in this international organization, as well as the assessment of the impact of EU membership on Lithuania’s development.</description><description descriptionType="Other">&lt;p>
The main language of the study is Lithuanian (lit).
