If they feel that professional preparation of specialists gained in those schools meets the needs of labour market. Major investigated questions: to analyse employed graduates of higher education schools of classes of 1996-2002 opinion about professional preparation. If they feel that professional preparation of specialists gained in those schools meets the needs of labour market. respondents were asked if preparation for professional activity acquired during studies is enough. If it is not enough, respondents were asked to tell what is missing the most. It was analysed what theoretical news, abilities, personal qualities are missing the most. Respondents were asked if it would be appropriate to organize students internship in company. Respondents were asked how internship organization for students could be improved. It was analysed for what period of time respondents are employed, based on what contract and what are their form of occupation. Respondents were asked to indicate if they work by professional qualification acquired during studies and if their qualification meets workplace requirements. Respondents were asked if they are satisfied with their salary. Respondents were asked if they would like to improve their qualification, retrain. If yes, they were asked what kind of courses they would like to take. It was asked to indicate which form of studying would be most acceptable and who should pay for qualification improvement, retraining of specialists with higher education. Respondents were asked to indicate what part of their educational expenditures they could pay themselves. It was asked, what means could help graduates of higher education to be employed. age, general work experience/time, study cycle, if respondent currently is studying, education place. Socio-demographic characteristics: place of residence, name of the higher education institution the respondent graduated from, field of study, study program, year of graduation, gender, age, total work experience, level of study, current education of the respondent, place of education.Santrauka: Tyrimo tikslas: ištirti įmonėse įdarbintų 1996-2002 m. laidų aukštųjų universitetinių mokyklų absolventų nuomonę, ar specialistų, baigusių minėtas mokyklas, profesinis pasirengimas atitinka darbo rinkos poreikius. Pagrindiniai nagrinėti klausimai: respondentų klausta, ar pakanka studijų metu įgyto pasirengimo profesinei veiklai. Jei nepakanka įgyto pasirengimo, prašyta atsakyti, ko labiausiai stinga. Tirta, kokių teorinių žinių, gebėjimų, asmeninių savybių labiausiai stokojama. Norėta sužinoti, ar respondentų įmonėje būtų tikslinga organizuoti studentų praktiką. Norėta sužinoti respondentų pasiūlymus, kaip tobulinti praktikų organizavimą studentams. Tirta, kuriam laikui respondentai priimti į darbą, pagal kokią sutartį dirba bei kokia yra užimtumo forma. Prašyta nurodyti, ar dirba pagal studijų metu įgytą profesinę kvalifikaciją bei ar ji atitinka darbo vietos reikalavimus. Užduotas klausimas, ar respondentus patenkina darbo užmokestis. Teirautasi, ar šiuo metu norėtų tobulinti kvalifikaciją, persikvalifikuoti. Jei taip, tai kokiuose kursuose jie norėtų dalyvauti. Prašyta nurodyti, kokia mokymosi forma respondentams būtų priimtiniausia bei kas turėtų mokėti už aukštąjį mokslą įgijusių specialistų kvalifikacijos tobulinimą, persikvalifikavimą. Prašyta nurodyti, kokią dalį savo mokymosi išlaidų jie galėtų patys apmokėti. Klausta, kokiomis priemonėmis būtų galima padėti aukštųjų mokyklų absolventams įsidarbinti.
