Tyrimo tikslas: ištirti Lietuvos gyventojų nuomonę svarbiausiais politiniais, socialiniais bei ekonominiais klausimais, vykstant sparčiai visuomenės ir valstybės transformacijai 1989-1993 m. Pagrindiniai nagrinėti klausimai: respondentų klausta, kokie buvo jiems šie metai ir kaip pasikeitė jų pragyvenimo lygmuo. Toliau prašyta įvertinti dabartinę Lietuvos ekonominę padėtį bei kokia, jų manymu, bus Lietuvos ekonominė padėtis po 12 mėn., taip pat atitinkamai respondentai įvertino dabartinę savo (savo šeimos) ekonominę padėtį bei kokia bus respondentų (jų šeimos) materialinė padėtis po 12 mėn. Buvo užduotas klausimai, ar 1992 m. Lietuvoje daugės, mažės ar bus tiek pat kaip ir 1991 m. darbo konfliktų, streikų bei ar ateinantys metai bus taikesni, ramesni, su mažiau tarptautinių konfliktų, ar konfliktų padaugės. Klausta, ar per ateinančius 10 metų gali prasidėti pasaulinis karas. Buvo klausiama, ar 1992 m. bus geresni, blogesni ar tokie patys, lyginant su 1991 m. Teirautasi, kurioje iš Baltijos šalių sėkmingiausiai vyksta ekonominės reformos ir ką respondentai mano apie dabartinį kainų „paleidimą“ Lietuvoje. Prašyta atsakyti, ar jie perka mažiau ar daugiau mėsos ar jos gaminių, palyginus su praėjusiu mėnesiu. Respondentų taip pat buvo klausiama, ar jie mėgsta kavą ir ar jie geria kavą, kai ji pabrango. Norėta sužinoti, kaip Lietuvos Aukščiausiosios Tarybos ir Vyriausybės veikla atitinka žmonių interesus. Taip pat buvo klausiama nuomonės, kaip V. Landsbergis atlieka Aukščiausiosios Tarybos pirmininko, o G. Vagnorius – Ministro Pirmininko pareigas. Apklausoje dalyvavusių Lietuvos gyventojų prašyta atsakyti, ar Lietuvai šiuo metu reikia visų jos piliečių išrinkto prezidento. Buvo tiriamas požiūris į žmones, kurie nenubausti už nusikaltimus, padarytus stalinistinių represijų laikotarpiu ir vėliau. Respondentų buvo klausiama, ar jie norėtų turėti asmeninį ginklą. Apklausos pabaigoje norėta išsiaiškinti, ant kurio laiptelio respondentai stovi 9 pakopų laiptuose. Socialinės demografinės charakteristikos: lytis, amžius, išsimokslinimas, tautybė, gyvenamoji vieta, respondento vidutinės pajamos per mėnesį.
The purpose of the study : to investigate the attitudes of Lithuanian population about the most important political, social and economic issues during the rapid transformation of society and state in 1989-1993. Major investigated questions : respondents were asked how the year was like for them and how their standard of living had changed. They were asked questions to assess the current economic situation in Lithuania and what respondents think will be the economic situation in Lithuania after 12 months. Also, the respondents assessed their current economic situation (their family) and the material situation of the respondents (their family) after 12 months respectively. The question was asked whether in 1992 in Lithuania the economic situation will increase, decrease or will be the same as in 1991. The question was posed whether World War was likely to break out in the next 10 years. It was asked whether 1992 will be better, worse or the same as in 1991. It was asked in which of the Baltic countries the most successful economic reforms are taking place and what the respondents think about the current “launch” of prices in Lithuania. Questions were asked whether respondents purchased more meat and its products compared to the previous month. Respondents were also asked whether they liked coffee and whether they drank when coffee became more expensive. It was wanted to know how the activities of the Supreme Council of Lithuania and the Government correspond to the interests of the people. The opinion was also asked on how V. Landsbergis performs the duties of the Chairman of the Supreme Council, and G. Vagnorius - the duties of the Prime Minister of Lithuania. Residents of Lithuania who participated in the survey were asked to answer whether Lithuania currently needs a president elected by all its citizens. Attitudes towards people who have not yet been punished for crimes committed during and after Stalinist repression have been studied. Respondents were asked whether they would like to have a personal weapon. At the end of the survey, it was wanted to find out on which step the respondents stand on the 9-step stairs. Socio-demographic characteristics : gender, age, education, nationality, place of residence, average monthly income of respondent.
